Hi,
Is it possible to daisy chain multiple units of Core 256 and have additional discrete outputs? For example, using 2 x Core 256 to get 512 discrete outputs from a single computer onto a Dante network? Would an aggregate device be required?
Thanks,
Bobby
To clarify, perhaps this wouldn’t be “daisy chaining” since your documentation states the thunderbolt 3 channel capacity is 256. But is it possible to connect two Core 256 devices to a single computer (each with their own thunderbolt connection) in order to send 512 discrete channels from the same computer to a Dante network?
Hello Robert,
That is a very good question. Please drop us an e-mail at support (at) ntp.dk as we have some clarifying questions.
Thanks,

Was there a definitive answer to this? Is there a way that doesn’t use an aggregate device to get more than 256 channels in and out over TB3?
The limitation of the implementations is 256 I and O channels, so you can not get more channels than this, and you can not daisy chain unit to get more channels, unless you create an aggrigate in core audio.
